History
Louie Spiro began a Martha's Vineyard based distribution company, which has since thrived under the management of three family generations. In the 1950's, Louis was the first individual to bring Pepperidge Farms Breads to the island. He continued to supply the brand for nineteen years, while also adding a variety of other brands to his expanding business. In 1971, Louis sold the Pepperidge Farms route. Forty-three years later, the Pepperidge Farm brand has returned to the Spiro family's line of products.
The business is a local operation, that has always been located on the island of Martha's Vineyard. In the 1980's, Louie's son Phil Spiro, purchased the business from Louie, and became the sole owner and operator. Under Phil's management, along with the help of his two sons Brian and PJ, the business expanded into new routes and has begun to distribute more brands.
